Teri and I did this 17.6 mile ride to Abyss Lake yesterday. The trail begins at 9,600' feet and ends at 12,600'. The Abyss Lake is shadowed by Mt. Bierstadt, Mt. Evans, and The Sawtooth.The fall folliage was beautiful. The ride was a bit technical and should we do it again, we will call it good at the first smaller lake, which is unnamed.
