White Ranch, on the east side.

Today, I got a last minute call from Tia (at left) to go for a trail ride, preferably someplace close to TMR. We picked White
Ranch, but from it's east side which neither one of us knew any-
thing about. Turned out, we picked the steepest, and rockiest,
trail up and a near equal in difficulty for the ride down. A sure
sign that you're is on a really difficult trail is when you lose all the
the mountain bikers. BTW -- that group was most polite today.

We covered 6.35 miles in about 2 hours time. The horses did
well and carried us the distance with care and confidence. You
can tell by Butch's picture and his sweaty coat, that he was
working very hard. It just so happens that we weren't quite to
top yet.

I appreciate how much Butch wants to please.
Earlier today I took Cale out to ride him and he carried
him also with great care and confidence. I love this horsehorse
to death. He's a great trail partner.
