Oops!

Today, Butch and I struck out alone and went to a close by Boulder Country Open Space Park; Marshall Mesa. It is located at the crossroads of Hwy. 93 and Marshall Road just a bit south of Boulder. It occupied open grasslands and was intermingled with Ponderosa pine, many prairie dog colonies and notably was not too rocky (Butch hates rocks).

At the highest point I could see the snowy Indian Peaks and Longs Peak beyond the Boulder Flatirons. It was quite pretty. Sorry folks, I forgot my camera.

I don't know if I'll horseback ride this park again. I encountered numerous mountain bikers who were, for the most part, extremely rude to me and my equine mount. Lucky for me and them, that Butch is most mellow about so many things...........including those nasty bikers who zoomed up from behind, sped by, and never said so much as one word. Shame on all of you!
